The service
KurdTaxi is a platform that connects passengers with licensed taxi drivers in the cities where we operate. Drivers provide the rides; KurdTaxi provides the technology for booking, dispatch, tracking and payment.
Your account
- You sign up with a phone number that you own and verify it with a one-time code.
- Keep your details accurate and your phone secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- One person, one account. Accounts can’t be sold or transferred.
Booking a ride
Before you confirm a ride, the app shows an estimated fare based on the route distance and the time of day. If you change the destination, add stops, or the trip changes substantially, the final fare can differ from the estimate.
Your request is offered to nearby drivers one at a time. If no driver accepts, we’ll let you know and you won’t be charged.
Scheduled rides and rides for others
You can schedule a ride in advance or book a ride for another person. When you book for someone else, you are responsible for the booking and for making sure they know the pickup details.
Payment
You can pay in cash, from your KurdTaxi wallet, or with the digital payment options shown in the app. If you pay more cash than the fare, the difference can be added to your wallet. Your wallet can be topped up through supported providers or with vouchers. Coupons and promotions apply only under their stated conditions.
Cancellations
You can cancel a ride from the app. To keep the service fair for drivers and passengers, we may limit the number of cancellations per day and restrict accounts that cancel repeatedly.
Rewards and Pro plans
Ride challenges, bonuses and Pro plans follow the rules shown in the app for each campaign or plan, including dates, eligibility and limits. We may change or end a campaign, but we will honour rewards you have already earned under its rules.
Drivers
- Drivers must hold a valid driving licence and taxi licence and submit the documents requested in the app. Accounts are activated only after our team reviews and approves them.
- Drivers are responsible for their vehicle, its insurance, and following traffic and taxi regulations.
- KurdTaxi charges drivers a service commission on completed rides, deducted from the driver wallet. The current rate is shown in the driver app.
- Drivers whose wallet balance falls below the allowed limit may not receive new requests until they top up.
Acceptable use
Treat drivers and passengers with respect. Don’t use KurdTaxi for anything illegal, damage vehicles, harass anyone, or try to misuse promotions, ratings or payments. We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Ratings
After each ride, passengers can rate their driver. Ratings help us keep quality high and may be used when we review accounts.
Liability
We work to keep KurdTaxi available and accurate, but the service is provided as it is. Maps, arrival times and fare estimates are estimates. To the extent the law allows, KurdTaxi is not liable for indirect losses or for the conduct of drivers or passengers.
Changes and ending the agreement
We may update these terms or the service. If a change is important, we will let you know in the app. You can stop using KurdTaxi and delete your account at any time.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws in force in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
